Amateur Radio in Allen County, KS

The Iola Amateur Radio Club (IARC) serves Allen County, KS and the surrounding area. It was formed in November 2007 by Red Robert (AA7CP, SK) and Ralph Romig (WA0KHV, SK).

Check into our net on Thursday evening at 7:00pm on the VHF repeater.

Monthly meetings for the club are held on the second Tuesday (excluding holidays) of the month at 7pm at the Colony Christian Chruch, 306 South Mapel Street, Colony, KS.

Our Repeaters

IARC hosts 2 repeaters:

2 Meter (VHF):

Frequency 147.375 MHz, +0.600 MHz offset, PL Tone of 179.9 Hz – ON-AIR with Limited Coverage
(Currently utilizing the Simplex frequency for club nets and business)

70cm (UHF):

Frequency 442.450 MHz, +5 MHz offset, PL Tone of 179.9 Hz – CURENTLY OFFLINE

Simplex

The Iola Amateur Radio Club also utilizes the simplex frequency 146.580 MHz in case of repeater outages to conduct nets or club business as needed. Please feel free to monitor and join us on this frequency.

Quick Information

We meet the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm at the Colony Christian Church in Colony Kansas. Visitors of all ages welcome.
