IARC Repeater Update – September 2025

It’s been some time since the last update on the new repeater system so but here’s what’s been happening since the last update.

  • Steve has secured a new radio for the repeater system and has purchased a new programming cable and software.
  • A new dual band antenna has been purchased from D&L Antenna
  • A duplexer has been purchased and tuned for the needed frequency pair.
  • Work still needs to be completed on getting the hole dug for the tower base, as well as securing concrete for the base and shack foundation – this seems to be the clubs’ biggest hurdle.

The repeater project has made significant progress in the last few months, but there’s still quite a bit left to get done. In the meantime, the club continues to use the simplex frequency of 146.850MHz for weekly club nets and business.
