The Iola Amateur Radio Club held it’s regular meeting on June 13, 2023. Present were 10 members & guests.
Minutes of the May meeting were read and approved.
Our normal meeting will not be held in July, as the building is being used for another event. Field Day will serve as our July meeting.
Trey, WX0MMG, has resigned as our EmComm coordinator due to family health issues. Jeremy will reach out to Jason Trego, the Allen County Emergency Manager, to gauge interest from him.
The GOTA station for Field Day will use the KS0AL callsign (Allen County Repeater Group).
We need to consider ideas for improving the battery backup situation at the repeater site. The current lead-acid deep cycle battery is many years old, and appears to be dead at this point.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned. Steve demonstrated the use of the N3FJP Field Day logging software that will be used at Field Day.
